The exclusive presentation of the luxury speedboat Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom was held as part of the Master Yachting Private Boat Show in the Umag city harbor last weekend, where visitors had the opportunity to meet the vessel that transfers Porsche’s electric drive technology from the road to the sea.
Drive “borrowed” from Cayenne
The Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom uses an electric drive system based on the technology of the Porsche Macan Electric. A drive of up to 400 kW (544 HP), a battery with a capacity of approximately 100 kWh and a maximum speed of 85 km/h (46 knots) place it among the most technologically advanced electric sports boats of today.
In order to further demonstrate the possibilities of electric mobility, Porsche transported the vessel from Zagreb to Umag with the new Cayenne Electric. With a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kilograms, the Cayenne Electric shows how the electric drive can meet demanding challenges. By connecting the Cayenne Electric on land and the 850 Fantom at sea, the company highlights its e-performance strategy and expands the experience of electric mobility beyond the automotive world.
The event in Umag was organized by the Master Yachting agency. Moved away from the concept of traditional, mass nautical fairs, it offers a personalized, intimate and premium experience, while the Croatian premiere of the new model further emphasized the direction of the development of electric mobility in the segment of luxury products and experiences. This time, the event got a historical story – the electric jewel Frauscher x Porsche 850 Fantom proved that “electricity” can rule both on land and at sea, the organizers said.
