In this game, they attack those games you bought on Steam and never played

It’s a well-known fact that Steam users mostly have a bunch of games they bought/received but never even started. Here, from my shared collection on Steam, 80% of the games I never even started. A shame for some, and a challenge for others!

Therefore, developer Nic Taylor came up with an interesting idea to turn that string of unplayed games on Steam into a challenge within the game itself. That’s how it was created Game quest: The Backlog Battler, a third-person shooter where our opponents are games from our Steam collection.

In translation, games we’ve never played are trying to kill us (because of that).

The idea is crazy, but well worked out. First of all, the thing works by pulling gameplay data from the Steam account if the player chooses to share it publicly. We are attacked by games that we have never started or that we have played for a maximum of two hours. The more expensive the game, the more dangerous the opponent is for the player. If a game is highly rated on Metacritic, then it can fly!

But the player has assistants – in the form of games from Steam in which he spent a lot of time. They defend their player!

Game Quest doesn’t have a release date yet, but it’s definitely one of the more original games we’ve seen lately, and we hope to play it as soon as possible.
