The most powerful Honor Magic8 RSR photo phone and the first telephoto photo examples show what it can really do

Entering the year 2026, smartphone manufacturers are starting to warm up for a new wave of premieres, and among the announced models is the Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Design. Honor’s official mobile photography channel today released telephoto samples taken with the device for the first time.

According to official information, the phone is equipped with a 200-megapixel telephoto camera with an aperture of f/2.6 and a focal length of 85 mm. The camera supports ISZ zoom without loss of quality and covers longer focal lengths of 170mm and 230mm, with support for telephoto macro photography.

The main camera uses the new OV50R sensor from Omnivision, with a resolution of 50 megapixels, with a large sensor format of 1/1.3 inches and an individual pixel size of 1.2 micrometers. The dynamic range reaches 110 dB, and a new generation of LOFIC technology has been introduced, which further improves the details in the bright and dark parts of the frame.

When it comes to hardware, the device is powered by the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, with support for 3D facial recognition and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the display. The phone has a battery with a capacity of 7,200 mAh, supports 120 W wired fast charging and has satellite communication.

With these specifications, the Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Design positions itself as the most ambitious Honor phone when it comes to mobile photography, with a clear focus on advanced telephoto capabilities, reports mydrivers.
