The publishing house Hooded Horse boasted that in the first 24 hours after its release HOMM: Olden Era was sold in 250 thousand copies. This already covers the cost of developing the game itself.
The game also reached more than 50,000 simultaneously active players on Steam, which is also a new record for the HOMM series.
