Sony is in “action” again: they closed another studio before making a single game

PlayStation’s Dark Outlaw Games studio, which was founded a year ago, has now been shut down without even having a chance to present the game they were working on.

PlayStation 5 will definitely set a new record – as the console during whose existence Sony has closed the most studios under its wing. Bluepoint Games, PixelOopus, Deviation Games, Japan Studio, London Studio, Firewalk Studios and the latest addition to the line – Dark Outlaw Games.

The story of Dark Outlaw Games may not be that interesting, but it is definitely tragic. It’s a studio founded a year agoand it was practically created on the basis of the defunct Deviation Games studio. The studio was founded by Jason Blundell, former producer and director of Call of Duty: Black Ops 1-4 games, and this is his second failed company funded by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

So the man’s plans have been ruined by Sony twice in the last five years.

Blundell says he won’t give up and even though Dark Outlaw Games is closed to him, he might find a lifeline for the game they’ve been developing. And exactly what kind of game it is – we have no idea because they didn’t even get to present it to the public.
