The Telltale Games studio has shown since its inception that it does very well with licensed content. They worked on the CSI games, revived Monkey Island and the Sam & Max series, but they began to demonstrate their real talent in 2010 with the episodic game Back to the Future: The Game, whose episode was released on this day 15 years ago.

It was still a time when we were blinded when a game was modeled after a movie. However, Telltale only stole the main premise for its Back to the Future and they combined the original story, which definitely increased the interest of players and fans of the series. It didn’t hurt that Telltale was able to bring in a few actors from the movies, including Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown.

The adventure was concluded in 2011 in the first and only season. It originally appeared on PC, iOS, Wii, PS3 and X360 consoles, and in 2015 it was ported to the current generation of consoles. Until the advent of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, Back to the Future: The Game was Telltale Games’ best-selling work.
