three things you thought were HyperOS bugs are actually regular features

Xiaomi has officially clarified the confusion that has been spreading among users of the HyperOS system since the three most frequently reported “errors” are not actually bugs, but part of the new design and way of working of the system.

As the company explains, changes in the interface change the established habits of users, which is why many misinterpret new functions and perceive them as problems.

HyperOS changes habits: “bugs” as new functions

One of the most commonly reported issues is the media player on the lock screen, which remains visible even after playback is stopped. Xiaomi states that this is a deliberate solution so that the controls are always available and the user experience is more fluid.

Another change concerns the display of the battery within the HyperIsland interface. Although it looks “off” or irregular, this layout is designed to free up space for notifications and dynamic information.

The third case refers to a different haptic feedback when using the volume keys. Users interpreted it as a hardware problem, but Xiaomi confirms that it is a new UX approach.

All these changes are part of a wider strategy by which Xiaomi tries to modernize the interaction between users and devices, even at the cost of short-term disruption of habits.

What in the “normal” world seems like a bug, for Xiaomi HyperOS is actually a new function that still needs to be “learned”, reports XiaomiTime.
