Almost every new phone comes with pre-installed apps that users rarely or never use. The level of “congestion” depends on the manufacturer: Pixel phones have significantly “cleaner” Android compared to Samsung models, which often come with a larger number of factory-installed applications.
Unfortunately, many system applications cannot be completely removed. On Pixel phones, it is possible to uninstall apps like Google Play Games or Google Books, but Chrome, Drive, Maps and Calculator remain permanently present. It is also possible to remove certain Google apps added during initial setup, such as the Pixel Watch app or NotebookLM.
What can and cannot be uninstalled on Android
The situation is similar with Samsung Galaxy phones. Although part of the factory applications cannot be removed, it is recommended to delete applications such as: Global Goals, Samsung Free, Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Shop and Samsung Kids, because most users do not need them.

On Samsung devices, the path is Settings > Apps > app name > Uninstall. Alternatively, it is possible to hold your finger on the app icon on the home screen and select uninstall.
To completely remove applications that the system does not allow to be deleted, there is the possibility of using the ADB tool (Android Debug Bridge), but it is intended for more advanced users.
How to disable factory apps
Applications that cannot be uninstalled can at least be turned off. This removes them from the home screen and application list, although they still take up some memory.
On Pixel phones, it needs to be opened Settings > Apps > See all appsselect the application and press Disable. On Samsung phones, it is possible to hide applications through the home screen settings, by selecting the option Hide apps and by marking the applications to be removed from the display.
