An unusual incident was recorded earlier this month on the streets of Brussels, where a black BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe fell victim to an unusual barricade. Namely, as part of their protest, local farmers covered one of the city’s intersections with a huge amount of raw potatoes, thereby paralyzing traffic for most private vehicles. This, however, did not seem like too much of an obstacle to this BMW driver.
Futile attempts to pull out
A video from social networks shows the moment when the driver, despite the apparently impassable terrain, decided to continue driving. Although he managed to slide over the slippery surface for the first few meters, the vehicle soon lost traction. The front wheels began to skid, and the luxury limousine remained motionless amid a pile of agricultural produce.
The driver repeatedly tried to move the car forward and backward, but without success. The lack of all-wheel drive (xDrive) proved crucial in these conditions, as the tires only sank deeper into the slippery mass. It is not known how the vehicle was eventually removed from the location, but the footage quickly went viral as a symbol of the intersection of urban everyday life and agricultural rebellion.
