Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the next game in the series that should get its own film or television adaptation. Negotiations are currently underway.
Daniel Vavrathe creative director of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, is no longer working on new video games with his team at Warhorse Studios.
As CzechCrunch reports, Vavra is still part of the studio he founded, but in the future he will devote himself to expanding the Kingdom Come brand outside the world of video games. In addition to comics, concerts and tourism, the plan is for KCD to get its own adaptation in the form of a film or series.
Warhorse says that they are leaning more towards a film and that the script is already in the works. Vavra is negotiating with several studiosbut says that he does not intend to sell the rights to the adaptation one after the other, but wants the film to be exactly as he imagined it. Plans for the adaptation existed eight years ago, but were put on hold amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, it has not been decided whether the eventual adaptation of the game will follow her story or have new characters. In any case, it is clear that Vavra wants to be involved in the creation of the script and will not leave the job to an outside source.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1 and 2 have collectively sold more than 15 million copies so far. The story of the unexpected hero Henry from Skalic is completed with the second game, and it is likely that the next project of Warhorse Studios will have a new character or something completely new.
