The first look at the upcoming film adaptation of Street Fighter has been released, starring acting champions such as 50 Cent, Jason Momoa and Cody Rhodes.
Not only games had their world premiere at The Game Awards program – the first scenes of the upcoming game were also shown in a movie Street Fighter. We got a look at the iconic fighters, a street fight montage, and even a car smash mini-game.
All this gives us hope that this Street Fighter movie will be more faithful to the original template than the one from 1994. If nothing else, we’ll at least get Guille sporting a signature crazy hairdo, instead of wearing a beret like Van Damme. I mean, for the role of Vega, they chose a guy who in reality wears a mask all the time! The only thing I don’t understand is how 50 Cent got the role of Balrog…
Basically, Street Fighter is coming to theaters 16. 10. 2026.
