Which movies should get their own video games?


Right now, the movie industry seems more interested in video games than the other way around. However, after several notable games, we have to ask – what movie would you like to see in game form?

The film industry and the video game industry have been in an intricate relationship for years. They love each other a little, they hate each other a little. At first, that relationship was really toxic – we had bad movies after games and bad games after movies. However, it improved over time. Today, the film industry is happy to look to the world of video games for inspiration, and that world is no longer seen as just a passing promotion for movies.

We’ve had some good games based on movie series in recent years. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, RoboCop: Rogue City are certainly positive examples. And there were bright things before: Mad Max, Alien Isolation, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Buther’s Bay, The Warriors, The Thing, Tron… The future also has potential. Hellraiser will get its first ever video game this year, a big-budget John Wick title has been announced, and believe it or not – a Kickboxer game with Van Damme is coming!

With all that in mind, our question for today’s discussion is: What movies and movie series would be ideal for the video game format? Or rather: what movie would you like to “play”?
