The 16-year-old League of Legends will get a new mode for nostalgic fans – LoL Classic, with old champions and the original map.
When popular games live long enough for players to complain that they’ve changed too much, developers usually reach for the nostalgia fuel. That’s how World of Warcraft and Overwatch got their Classic game modes, Fortnite repeatedly returned the original map, etc. And now it has been announced that such a move will also be made League of Legends.
Riot Games has confirmed that it is coming to the popular LoL soon Classic mod. Fans will thus get a chance to play the game again as it was X years ago.
We do not yet know, however, to which previous phase LoL will return exactly. Maybe it won’t even be one specific period, but some kind of mix of the past. In any case, it is assumed that we will return to original folderwith older versions of champions.
We will find out more details about the Classic mode 12. 7. when the MSI Finals LoL tournament takes place.
