After the Steam Controller sold out thanks to the great interest of PC players, Valve decided to open reservations for the next round of sales.
As we already reported, all the quantities of Steam Controllers that Valve prepared were grabbed in just a few hours from the start of sales. The first round of sales was marked by various difficulties, and Valve said that they are aware that not all Steam users who wanted it got the Steam Controller.
Restocking is underway and the controller will go on sale again in the coming weeks, first in North America and then in the rest of the world. Valve has decided that the second round of Steam Controller sales will be somewhat controlled in order not to repeat the chaos of Monday.
Namely, from tomorrow, 5/8 at 7 p.mwill be on Steam receive reservations for the purchase of Steam Controllers. Reservations will create a waiting list for purchases, and once Steam Controller stock is ready, customers will be notified in turn and will have the opportunity to complete their purchase within three days / 72 hours of notification.
Reservations will be limited to one Steam Controller per user. Customers who have already managed to purchase a Steam Controller will not be able to make a reservation for another copy, which Valve hopes will reduce the number of resellers.
