Ruiner 2 has been announced, bringing co-op fighting and shooting

Here comes the sequel to 2017’s dystopian game Ruiner, with new mechanics and an optional co-op mode for three players.

Do you remember Ruiner from 2017? The game didn’t get much fame for its isometric action, but it was apparently successful enough to see a sequel announced nine years later.

Ruins 2 it was just announced for PC, with no release date announced.

The sequel takes us back to the dystopian city of Rengkok, where corporations control life and death, and death is treated as a breach of the employment contract. The novelty this time will be that instead of one character we will have three different Shellsthat is, fighting bodies. Each of them will have a distinct play style, and we’ll unlock them by defeating boss opponents who use them.

More playable character types open the door to cooperative play and Ruiner 2 will support it three-member co-op. If you want to play alone, you can switch between three Shells at any time. We will continue to follow the action from a bird’s eye view, and the gameplay will be reduced to beating and shooting opponents.
