Samsung has done a great job accelerating the release of new Android versions of its flagship phones, and it looks like things will go even faster with the launch of Android 13. Always reliable SamMobile reports that, according to sources familiar with the issue, Samsung plans to release Android 13 with OneUI 5.0 user interface as early as July 2022.
This would be an open beta, which would allow users with supported devices to install the update. Compared to last year, it puts this release a few weeks ahead of the schedule that was for Android 12.
The first hint of official Android 12 beta programs for Samsung devices appeared online in late July last year, but the open beta version was not widely available until September. The stable release began arriving in November. Meanwhile, Google is still in the early stages of releasing Android 13. We’ve seen a few hints so far, and the beta program should arrive at any moment. According to Google’s schedule, the final release of Android 13 should come in July or August, well before last year.
