The popular ARC Raiders hits harder with NVIDIA DLSS 4 and Relfex technologies on ASUS GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards

Playing competitive games at 60 frames per second went out of fashion on the PC platform a long time ago. Especially when with NVIDIA DLSS 4 technology we can raise the framerate above 200 fps, even in the latest games like ARC Raiders.

ARC Raiders is not only one of the freshest multiplayer games on the market, but also one of the better optimized PC games in a long time.

Who would have thought that Unreal Engine 5 can still be tamed when special attention is paid to efficient performance… And this is not only good news for owners of older hardware, but also for users of high-end graphics cards such as those from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5000 series of GPUs.

The models of these cards from the company Asus especially stand out due to additionally optimized cooling, top-quality components and additional features such as the very useful Dual BIOS functionality.

A good foundation for speed

As soon as the game is well-optimized at the start, it leaves additional space to achieve performance on modern hardware that catches up with today’s gaming monitors. Today, it is difficult to find a gaming monitor with a refresh rate below 100Hz, and in fact we have come to the point where you can get a monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate for less than 150 euros. When you get something like that, of course you want a gaming experience to match that smooth display and accompanying responsiveness.

In the traditional view, we have not yet reached the point where games are optimized for 200+ fps, but we still have the ability to accelerate the display of games to such a framerate. Thanks to the DLSS 4 technology on the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 cards, it is no longer unthinkable to play a well-optimized game like ARC Raiders at 200, 300, 400 or even 500 fps. It’s doable!

It works like framerate nitro

At 4K resolution, with maximum settings and ray tracing enabled, DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and DLSS Super Resolution in ARC Raiders increase the performance of the GeForce RTX 50 series by an average of 3.6 times. In an ideal scenario, that means gaming up to 420fps on the GeForce RTX 5090. The GeForce RTX 5080 tops 300fps, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti runs at over 260fps, and the GeForce RTX 5070 runs ARC Raiders at over 220fps.

Of course, the lower your native resolution, the higher the performance. At 2560×1440 resolution at maximum details with DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation we reach the aforementioned 500 fps with the RTX 5090, while the RTX 5060 in ARC Raiders can extract up to 191 frames per second.

If you’re still on a 1080p monitor (we’re not judging – that has its advantages too!), the acceleration is even greater. Here we can talk about the unimaginable 600+ fps on the RTX 5090. And if you happened to be wondering – yes, there are monitors with 600 or more hertz. Of course they exist. But, if you don’t know about them, those 240Hz monitors for less than 150 euros can make good use of DLSS 4 MFG x4 acceleration, so that even the lowest-ranking RTX 50 series reaches 240+ fps in ARC Raiders.

What about latency controls?

ARC Raiders is the type of multiplayer game where you won’t necessarily go to war with everyone you see. In fact, the game is pretty chill as far as the competitive segment is concerned, if you don’t want to commit to it. However, the point of playing such games at a high framerate is that you can see the moving image more clearly, and thus react faster to threats that come your way. As Multi Frame Generation is based on (AI) machine learning technology and thus increases the framerate, this in theory is accompanied by an increase in latency, i.e. a slightly slower response of the controls. Fortunately, Nvidia has a solution for this in the accompanying Reflex technology that ARC Raiders natively supports.

In short, NVIDIA Reflex makes sure that the processor and graphics card are better synchronized in such a way that they always give priority in the sequence to those frames that show the execution of the player’s commands in the game. This in turn reduces latency and makes gaming more responsive because the game reacts faster to your control. Specifically in ARC Raiders, with Reflex on, latency is reduced by up to 59%, which means that playing with frame generation feels closer to native, with a reduced sense of control lag.

Currently, ARC Raiders supports the first generation of Relex, but things should be further accelerated with the arrival of Reflex 2 Control technology. In short, a predictive rendering algorithm was developed for Reflex 2, which can extract data for the next frame from the previous frames and thereby further speed up the responsiveness of the game. Once Reflex 2 becomes available, we will be able to use it on all RTX 50 cards.
