Company Xiaomi launched a device designed for larger spaces, which promises extremely fast cooling. Vertical climate is officially called Mijia Powerful Wind Floor-Standing Air Conditioner Ultra 3HP. Never a long name, but according to the manufacturer’s claims, it is capable of cooling the space in an incredible 15 seconds. There is no information about how much space is involved, but we will know more as the European premiere approaches.
The device is currently available in China at a price of 5,999 yuan (about $886).
Hardware created for spacious interiors
Developed for large living rooms and open-concept apartments, the system benefits twin cylinder supercharger of 25.1 cc. Xiaomi states that this design brings an increase in internal volume of 19% compared to previous configurations.
In addition, the air conditioner uses pure copper evaporators and condensers with a double structure. In addition to significantly expanding the surface for heat exchange, it also accelerates the cooling and heating cycles to the maximum. According to the official technical specifications, the device achieves:
- Maximum cooling capacity up to 11,000 W i
- Maximum heating capacity up to 16,000 W
Thanks to the operation in the high-frequency mode of 140 Hzthe system manages to start cooling within just a few seconds. It takes about 30 seconds to raise the temperature and heating, and 15 seconds to cool down.
XiaomiFor air distribution, Xiaomi used dual sine wave motors that can generate an air flow of 1,800 cubic meters per hourexpelling air to 16 meters inside the room.
Smart blowing modes and energy efficiency
The device has specialized air flow modes to achieve maximum thermal comfort without the unpleasant feeling of a draft. They are:
- Sky Curtain Wind (Air curtain). It distributes cold air along the ceiling, from where it descends naturally and gently, avoiding direct blowing on people and
- Carpet Wind (Air carpet). It directs the heat directly to the floor and legs, providing a more natural and pleasant feeling of warmth.
Despite the enormous power, the emphasis is placed on high energy efficiency. The device has an annual performance coefficient (APF) from 4,90. Internal energy-saving algorithms can reduce annual electricity consumption by approx 660 kWh. Also, the air conditioner is designed to work smoothly in extreme weather conditions, ranging from -35°C do 65°C.
Xiaomi vertical air conditioner with HyperOS and automation
The Xiaomi vertical air conditioner has smart connectivity that powers it HyperOS Connect platform. She is in charge of smart home automation, remote control via phone and voice commands. The integrated artificial intelligence (AI) module automatically adjusts the temperature and airflow in real time based on the current conditions in the space. The package includes system updates (OTA), remote self-diagnosis and standard notifications reminding the user of regular maintenance and filter cleaning.
The Xiaomi vertical air conditioner does not yet have a global launch date and price, but it is premiere expected soon.
