Xbox announced that after more than six years of development, their survival game State of Decay 3 will enter the testing phase next month.
When Microsoft announced their Xbox Series X console back in 2020, one of the games they promised for it was State of Decay 3. The third part of cooperative survival in the world of zombies should have been one of the mainstays of Xbox in the current generation. However, over time, fans began to wonder if the game would even come out.
We’re still not entirely sure about that, but at least after almost two years we’ve received confirmation that State of Decay 3 is still in development. Moreover, it will be playable as early as next month – just not in the finished version.
The Undead Labs development team has announced that they will start the series from the fifth month of this year testing for the alpha version of the game. Players who are interested in testing can sign up on the game’s official site.
It said the testing will include four-player co-op gameplay, and try out key elements of the game – base building, resource management and zombie combat.
State of Decay 3 is currently in development for PC and Xbox Series. For now, there is no indication of when this series could appear on PlayStation.
