The Out Lap: The first mobile gastronomic experience on F1 tracks

Moët Hennessy and Formula 1 have officially announced the launch of The Out Lap project, a brand new concept that redefines the Grand Prix weekend experience through top gastronomy, tradition and special storytelling. Created as part of a ten-year partnership, this project transforms the road from the garage to he shouts on the way to a luxury experience for a strictly limited number of guests.

Unlike previous forms of luxury experiences in the world of Formula 1, The Out Lap takes exactly twelve guests on a ride in a mobile dining room directly on the track itself. The route is adapted to each individual track and includes stops at their most famous parts. At each of these points, the history and key moments of the sport will be revived by former race drivers through personal memories.

Stories from the race tracks

Local stories from the race tracks will be accompanied by exclusive culinary creations from the world’s leading chefs, paired with selected wines and spirits from the Moët Hennessy portfolio. Each edition of the project will be unique as each track will inspire its own route, stories and culinary identity.

The debut of this concept was on the legendary Spa-Francorchamps track, and the first culinary edition was designed by Yannick Allénochef with the most Michelin stars in the world and ambassador of the Moët & Chandon brand, who created a special menu adapted to consumption on the go.

After its premiere in Belgium, The Out Lap will continue its journey to other European destinations, including the Grand Prix in Holland, Italy and Spain. Each new destination will offer a different interpretation of the concept based on the heritage of the particular track. Instead of observing the events next to the track, guests are allowed to enter the field itself, which is normally reserved exclusively for drivers and teams. The price has not been announced, so we can only assume that it is not exactly “for everyone”.
