Activision announced that the arrival of the new Call of Duty game at the end of this year will mean the death of the existing Warzone on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

Call of Duty: Warzone from the 11th of this year, it will no longer be possible to play on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
It was previously confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is being made exclusively for the current generation of consoles, and as Warzone will be bundled with that game again, it means that it will become incompatible with PS4 and XBO consoles.
As of 6/25, players on those consoles will no longer be able to purchase anything in Warzone, and as the whole thing was announced a few months before the server shutdown, there will be no refunds for purchased content. You can still use them anyway on any of the platforms where Warzone will still be available.
While we don’t have public statistics to show how many players will be affected by this, we do know that this isn’t the first case of popular games dropping PS4 and XBO versions that previously worked on PlayStation 5. This has already happened with PUBG: Battlegrounds, Genshin Impact and other games.
