Age of Empires Mobile: PC Edition will appear on Steam later this month and bring a new way to play the mobile F2P game of the famous strategy series.
Almost two years have passed since the launch of the first mobile title from the Age of Empires series. The strategy game that was created in cooperation between Xbox and Tencent proved to be somewhat successful. It has been downloaded more than 15 million times, although fans of the series were disappointed with what they got and complained that the game has nothing to do with Age of Empires.
For some reason, the developers of Age of Empires: Mobile decided to bring the game to the PC platform, so the so-called PC Edition will on Steam appear from 23rd of this monthalso as a free-to-play title.
The developers say that this is not just an ordinary port for big screens, because the graphics have been improved for 4K resolution, they have added mouse and keyboard controlsthe interface has been adjusted and crossplay with the mobile version is enabled.
However, for longtime fans of Age of Empires on PC, they say that AoE: Mobile still offers something different compared to the previous formula with a focus on heroes and multiplayer events.
“The game is designed to expand the franchise and introduce new fans to the world of Age of Empires,” say the developers.
