In a new video published by Rimac Automobile, the founder Mate Rimac gave a personal reflection on the development and importance of the Nevera model, with special emphasis on the new, extremely limited series – Nevera R Founder’s Edition. This series, limited to only ten copies, was conceived as the culmination of a ten-year journey during which the company grew from a garage venture into a global corporation with more than 2,000 employees.
Long way to the record
The Nevera project is defined as a key point in the company’s history, created in a country without a previous automotive industry. The development of the first electric hypercar with almost 2,000 hp took place with limited resources and with a team that initially had no experience in serial production of vehicles. According to Mata Rimac, it was the dedication of all participants that made it possible to lay the foundations for today’s Rimac Group and the modern Rimac Campus.
During development and production, the model set more than 50 records and became the basis for further development of the company. Today’s Rimac Group, as well as Rimac Kampus, was founded on these foundations. With a power of 2,107 hp, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.66 seconds, while the maximum speed is 431 km/h. During 2025 alone, this model set 24 new world records.
The technical superiority of the Nevera R model is the result of decades of experience in the development of drive systems, control and aerodynamics, explains Rimac. This technological iteration serves not only as a demonstration of strength, but also as proof of the innovation capacity of the company that has positioned Croatia on the world map of the automotive industry.
Symbolism and personalization
Each of the ten copies from the Founder’s Edition series is developed through an individual configuration process in direct cooperation of customers with engineering and design teams at Rimac Campus. The result is completely unique cars that combine specific colors and materials with personalized details. The motif of the tie, which is integrated as a symbol of Croatian heritage and company identity, stands out in particular.

“Nevera is the result of the exceptional effort and dedication of all the people who participated in its development. It is a project that defined our company. These ten cars will always have a special place in our story – as a symbol of everything we have built in the last ten years,” concludes Rimac.
