The development team IO Interactive has informed James Bond fans on the Nintendo console that the new 007 game First Light will not be playing next month after all.
Action adventure 007 First Light comes out 27. 5. this year – that date has not changed. However, IO Interactive has now admitted that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game will not be available on that day after all. Instead, it will be two months late.
IO Interactive says that delaying the Switch 2 version helps them deliver the best possible version that Nintendo’s console can deliver. They assure us that the game on Switch 2 is currently playable from start to finish, they just need to further optimize it.
The delay of big-budget, multi-platform games on the Nintendo Switch 2 is already becoming a trend. Last year, Borderlands 4 was promised to the Switch audience, but the release of that version was then postponed until further notice, and it looks like it won’t even happen in the end. This month, the Switch will also have one delay, but a much shorter one – Capcom’s game Pragmata arrives on Switch 2 a week later than on PC, PS5 and XS.
