not a trace of a crease on the folding surface of the screen

Honor continued to heat the audience’s expectations to a fever pitch, ahead of the official premiere of the Honor Magic V6 model, and the latest teaser provides the best glimpse yet of the device’s internal, main screen. Photos posted on China’s Weibo by the company’s CEO Wang Fei show the display without any visible creases and creases down the middle, at least when viewed directly from the front.

Unlike all previous flip phones, where the fold line is always noticeable to a greater or lesser extent, the Magic V6 seems to have a completely flat surface. According to Fei, Honor achieved this result without compromising on thickness, mass of the device, battery capacity or performance.

Magic V6 – focus on durability and screen quality

The company previously confirmed that the Magic V6 will have IP68 and IP69 protection, which would make it the first flip phone with this level of water and dust protection. The use of ultra-thin glass (UTG) is also confirmed, as well as an extremely low level of reflection of only 1.5%, which should significantly improve readability in bright light.

Honor states that the Super Steel hinge has also been improved, the internal structure of which plays a key role in eliminating the visible crease on the screen. It is interesting that similar announcements come from OPPO, which also promotes a folding model without a pronounced crease.
