Sony has shared a list of games that were most played among the owners of that console in the first year of the PlayStation 5 console.
Today marks the first year since Sony’s PlayStation 5 console hit the U.S. market. On that occasion, Sony commented on everything they have achieved with and for this console on the official blog, and they also revealed statistics that are very rarely made public.
In the first year of the PlayStation 5 console, players thus played on it collectively more than 4.6 billion hours. Of that, 26 million hours flowed to other players. A list of the most played games on the console has also been published, which is not ranked, but from what we see it is easily possible to go from top to bottom. When we say the most played games, we mean the games that were played the longest, ie the number of hours that players collectively spent on those games. Interesting fact Sony has sold 13.4 million PS5 consoles.
Top 10 most played games PS5 console.
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
- FIFA 21
- NBA 2K21
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Destiny 2
- MLB The Show 21
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Demon’s Souls
- NBA 2K22
As you can see, dominated by sports games – one football, two basketball and one baseball game. In addition to them, there are multiplayer Fortnite, CoD: Black Ops Cold War and Destiny 2. The rest of the list consists of (mostly) single player adventures, of which two are Sony productions, ie exclusive.
It’s a bit surprising that Demon’s Souls found itself on this list – we’d expect before maybe GTA Online, Minecraft or Fifa 22 which had an amazing start. In any case, Sony can be happy with this statistic as well – after all, three of their games are among the most played on their platform, and these are definitely not prominent names “for which the console is bought”.
