Half a million players have played the pirate survival game Windrose in the two days since its launch on Steam.
We have a new pirate hit. Or at least that’s what the first statistics for the survival game indicate Windrose.
Game developers, ingeniously named Kraken Express, they boasted that Windrose played / bought half a million players within the first 48 hours of launch on Steam.
He is playing the game at the same time almost 114 thousand playersand that number is likely to grow over the weekend. The reactions of the players are good and the game has more than seven thousand positive reviews.
Although Windrose, originally called Crosswind, was conceived as a free-to-play MMO title, in the end the game became a PvE survival game that can be played alone or cooperatively, and was launched at a price of 30 euros. The change of plan obviously paid off and the game recorded twice as much player activity on Steam as the previous ruler of the pirate seas – Sea of Thieves.
