The competitive Pokemon game for Nintendo Switch and mobile phones will launch early next month, but it won’t support all Pokemon ever.

Nintendo released a 6-minute video explaining the basics of the game itself, and at the same time, a somewhat controversial thing was confirmed. Pokemon Champions upon release he won’t have all the thousand and something pokemon available for combat.
Namely, the director of the game, Masaaki Hoshino, confirmed that Pokemon Champions will mainly use the final evolutions of Pokemon. Although this will disappoint players who were hoping that this would be the ideal moment to brag about how they collected them all, it is not excluded that they will receive additional types of pokemon later. Hoshino says the developers have big plans for Pokemon Champions.
“We intend to support Pokemon Champions practically foreveras long as the Pokemon franchise has been around. So who knows, maybe in the distant future we’ll have 2,000, 3,000 or maybe 10,000 Pokemon.”
