Realme presented the Neo8 model, which starts in China at a price of around 310 euros. It is a phone that aggressively targets gamers and users who value performance first.
The heart of the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which in the AnTuTu test achieves a score exceeding 3.58 million points with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage space. Realme additionally highlights the so-called “geek” performance panel, which allows the user to manually adjust the frequency of the CPU, GPU and five levels of thermal control, without major system limitations. In this way, the phone can adapt to different games and usage scenarios, with maximum performance in demanding situations.
Neo8 – 165 Hz Samsung ekran i periscope camera
Neo8 has a built-in 165 Hz Samsung AMOLED screen which is special in many ways in this price range, based on M14 luminous material. Lighting efficiency is increased by 26 percent, while energy consumption at 165 Hz is lower than typical 144 Hz panels. Maximum brightness reaches 1,000 nits when manually adjusted, 1,800 nits automatically and even 6,500 nits locally, with DC dimming support and TÜV Rheinland flicker-free certification.
In the camera part of the story, realme Neo8 stands out for its 50 MP periscope telephoto sensor, the only one of its kind in this class. The camera offers 3.5x optical and 7x zoom without loss of quality, with digital magnification up to 120x. The main camera uses a 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX896 sensor, with support for 8K recording and adjustable parameters for color, sharpness and grainy image effects, as well as 4K video.
Realme promises four years of system maintenance and three major Android upgrades, and from April this year, all realme phones enter the OPPO service system, which includes faster repairs, visual service monitoring and an extended warranty on spare parts, reports mydrivers.
