Spider-man: No Way Home (2021) Movie Review, Plot, Characters

Marvel Cinematic Universe, which dominated the film charts until 2019, had to give up a lot because of the choir pandemic. a profit at the box office of about $400 million – too little given the high budget. While one can argue about how much the pandemic is deserving, how much sometimes mixed quality, how much the fact that at least two of the three films focus on brand new characters who are little known to mass audiences and still have to find their fans. The expectations from “Spider-man: No Way Home” are even higher. Spider-Man: No Way Home, which competes with one of the most popular heroes and which many say his film would set a new record this year.

But it’s not just the hero himself who, after “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, goes on his third solo adventure within the MCU, which has sparked great hype in advance. In addition, at some point it was leaked that characters from previous Spider-Man films that are not themselves part of the MCU will appear here. In fact, Spider-Man: No Way Home is about three films with Tobey Maguire from the 00s and two parts of The Amazing Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield from the 10s. This is made possible by the concept of a multiverse that has been presented at Marvel several times. The animated hit Spider-Man: A New Universe brought the idea that there are different worlds, each with its own story, in the focus of the film. It was then used as an opportunity to shamelessly merge everything the franchise has done in the past two decades.

Immediately after the events in Spider-man: Far From Home, the life of Peter Parker (Tom Holland – Chaos Walking, Spies in Disguise, etc.) with his girlfriend MJ (Zendaya – Dune, Space Jam: A New Legacy, etc.) turned upside down towards down. It also influenced their best friend Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), Peter’s aunt May (Marisa Tomei – The Lincoln Lawyer, Wild Hogs, etc.) as well as Happy (Jon Favreau – Solo: A Star Wars Story, etc.).

Feeling guilty about what happened to his closest friends and family, Peter turned to Dr. Strange for help (Benedict Cumberbatch – Sherlock TV series, The Current War, etc.). Against his better judgment, however, he tried to help Peter with magic. Unfortunately, something happened that led enemies from different universes to enter Peter’s world, such as Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina – Message from the King, Frozen 2, etc.), Electro (Jamie Foxx – Soul, Baby Driver, etc.) and Norman Osborn aka Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe – Aquaman, Great Wall, etc.).

As the pressures grow, Peter must do everything he can to bring these dangerous villains back into their world. So how would the story end? Find them all in this exciting last Spider-Man adventure.

“Spider-man: No Way Home” Movie Review, Plot

Wow that was really amazing! This movie was really fantastic. It started very great and good things happened immediately. And when the bad guys started showing up, the audience was very excited about the opportunity to see Peter Parker confront the villains he had never fought before. And the fights were absolutely wonderful. Each was unique and brilliantly executed with some great visual effects that despite the heavy CGIs looked so good that they didn’t even look too computerized.

For more than 2 hours we were entertained by the constant excitement in which there was no boring moment. Each scene was well performed which kept us glued to the screen the whole time, fearing we would miss something important. My girlfriend didn’t even glance at her cell phone, as did the rest of the audience who filled the allowed 70% of the theater’s capacity. Btw, we saw the movie at our favorite cinema with the Dolby Atmos sound system finally released, unlike the last few weeks where no other movie has been released with it. And it was very satisfying because the sound effects were just one of the cool attributes of the film.

As the film progressed and our emotions played out, there was a scene in the middle that we were thrilled about. It was great that we wanted to scream with joy, unfortunately, even though the people in the theater were too cool and just exclaimed a little. That scene was something we as Spider-Man fans were half expecting, but we didn’t dare dream about before. So we were very grateful that Marvel Studios and Sony (Columbia Pictures) were able to do that and gave us this part. From that moment on, we were completely overjoyed with the story that led us to the top fight scene. Although there was a pre-fight scene that I didn’t really like because it was a little too silly, but it was very short and I decided to ignore it and focus on the best part.

What amazed me in this film “Spider-man: No Way Home” is the ability of writers (Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers) and director Jon Watts to make something so wonderful and intelligent that it started with Spider-man: Homecoming. Combined with some emotional moments and a strong nostalgic feeling of watching those villains from previous Spider-Man movies we’ve really enjoyed before, this makes for a truly extraordinary feat. The musical score was also perfectly timed in all the key moments like the time when we need uplift or during intense moments and those really emotional scenes (one of them was what made me feel like Tom Holland’s Peter Parker would be a better superhero) .

There was nothing to say about all the actors except that they did their job in the best possible way. The best part I liked was the surprising appearance of many people I had seen before. One of them was a character I never thought would be brought in, which is why I could hardly wait to get ready for the future Marvel Cinematic Universe. And by the look of the end of this film, it would be crazy if the studios didn’t want to collaborate and make at least one more Spiderman film. Oh, during the final credits there was a fun middle credit scene and one post end credit scene that I thought would have significance in MCU.

All in all, this was an amazing experience for me. I really liked this “Spider-man: No Way Home” movie and I was happy to be able to avoid the big spoilers from other people. In any case, this is a film worth enjoying in a cinema with a big screen and good sound system. And I personally think this is a perfect experience. As far as I understood, the film managed to attract as many people back to the cinema as I myself witnessed from the crowd that filled the cinema (unfortunately, although the physical distancing was a bit neglected). Anyway, if you have the opportunity and feel comfortable enough, you certainly don’t want to miss this experience. IMDB Movie Rating: 9/10
