The era of UFS 5.0 phones is coming, the Galaxy S27 is the first to bring the fast internal memory standard

According to available information, the new generation of internal memory developed under the auspices of the JEDEC association brings a significant leap in performance compared to the current UFS 4.1 used by the Galaxy S26 series.

Samsung UFS 5.0 brings drastically higher speeds

UFS 5.0 introduces advanced technologies such as MIPI M-PHY v6.0 and UniPro v3.0 standards, along with HS-G6 operating mode and PAM4 signaling. Thanks to this, the theoretical maximum speed reaches as much as 10.8 GB/s, which represents a huge shift compared to previous generations.
