In the Lučko neighborhood of Zagreb, a traffic incident was recorded in which the main role was played by an Audi personal vehicle – which was moving without a driver, but not thanks to any smart software. According to the available information and footage from the surveillance cameras, which was taken on July 4 after 10 a.m., the careless driver parked the car, but failed to raise the handbrake. After turning off the vehicle, the woman got out of the car and drove away without turning around at all. Due to her omission, Audi soon started on its own. At first it began to slide slowly backwards towards the road, and after a few moments it had crossed the entire width of the road. Fortunately, there were no other road users on the road at that moment, thus avoiding a potentially dangerous situation.
However, the car’s “unmanned” journey was soon stopped by a physical obstacle. The Audi headed towards private property and eventually crashed into a family home. A video of this unusual event was shared on Reddit under the satirical title “Hand is an accessory”, and the publication quickly caused numerous reactions and criticisms of the driver’s behavior and carelessness.
