The Kirin 9030 Pro uses a nine-core architecture in a 1+4+4 configuration. The main core operates at a frequency of up to 2.75 GHz, the middle core at 2.27 GHz, while the energy-efficient cores are set to 1.72 GHz. GPU Maleoon 935 is responsible for graphics processing.

In addition to a powerful chip, the MateBook Neo will reportedly bring a very generous memory configuration. As much as 24 GB of working memory and 1 TB of space for data storage are expected, which significantly exceeds the basic configuration of the MacBook Neo model, which includes 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of space for the device’s internal memory.

This configuration should enable smooth operation with multiple applications at the same time, as well as the launch of more demanding programs. In this way, Huawei is obviously trying to take advantage of the larger memory capacity, in order to compete with the Apple model in the entry-level segment of laptops.

The incorporation of a powerful mobile processor into a laptop computer also shows the trend of increasing convergence of mobile and desktop architectures. With the new MateBook Neo model, the competition in the segment of affordable laptops could become much tougher, reports mydrivers.
