The Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max should become the first Huawei 5G phone intended for the global market after a long hiatus, with which the company would finally return this network technology to its international models.
According to new information, the global version of the device has already appeared in testing on the 5G network. TikTok user @supermas posted a video showing the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max with a 5G tag in the status bar, with a speed test exceeding 1100 Mbps.
Such a result indicates that the phone is not limited to 4G connection, which has been the case for years with most Huawei models intended for markets outside of China. For users, this means much faster downloading of applications, files, photos and video content, provided they are on a high-quality 5G network.

An additional clue comes from Indonesia, where the Pura 90 Pro Max version appeared in the TKDN certification under the designation SCA-LX9. In that document, the device is listed as a 5G Huawei phone, which further confirms that the company is preparing an international model with support for the new network.
This would be an important return to the global 5G phone market for Huawei. After the US sanctions from 2019, the company was forced for years to mainly offer 4G devices in markets around the world, even in the higher class.
The turnaround began in China with the Mate 60 Pro model and the return of the Kirin 5G chip, but Huawei did not offer that technology to global customers. Certain Mate models did appear in certain markets, but without a clear signal that the company is fully returning to the international 5G offer.
That’s why Pura 90 Pro Max is especially important. If the information is confirmed, it will be the first strong sign that Huawei is again trying to combine flagship cameras, its own hardware and 5G networks in a model aimed at customers outside of China.
For now, however, caution should be maintained. Huawei has not yet officially announced all the details regarding the global version of the device, nor has it confirmed in which markets 5G support will be available. More information is expected around July 14, when the company could present in more detail the international plan for the Pura 90 Pro Max, reports HC Newsroom.
