Australian basketball player Ben Simmons has been waiting for the first game since June last year. He still hasn’t debuted for the Brooklyn Nets yet.
Ben Simmons played the seventh game of the NBA playoff series with the Atlanta Hawks then no official game since, before he went on strike at the Philadelphia 76ers
He recently forced a trade to the Brooklyn Nets, in an exchange in which James Harden went to the Philadelphia 76ers, but due to a long break, he is not ready to help immediately.
“He is not ready to play one on one, let alone three on three and five on five. He will have to get ready when he can go at full speed, then we can talk,” said Nets coach Steve Nash.
It was only when he started training that the Australian got a back problem and postponed his debut in the Nets.
“It set him back. We want to be safe and not rush, before staying without him for a long time,” Nash added.
As of now, Ben Simmons remains without a timeline to make his Brooklyn debut, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
I think Ben will be ready for the play-off series when he will be much needed since the Nets have a good chance of going all the way and getting an NBA championship trophy.
