EA Sports presented the “deep changes” in gameplay that we can expect for this year’s edition of their football series FC.
This year’s FC will place significant emphasis on play outside the football fields. However, the main part of the game still remains in classic football, and that’s where EA Sports is preparing several new features and changes that they have now demonstrated in the above video. For those who prefer to read, here’s a summary of the highlights:
- the defensive part of the game will rely less on AI teammates – they will be less aggressive and less likely to take the ball away themselves, but the footballers we control individually will have a greater range for taking away the ball, blocking and similar defensive actions
- the execution of the corner will be divided into two phases: in the first phase we perform the pass / throw-in, and in the second phase we control the footballers who receive the ball by having direct control over the trajectory of their run
- the attacking part of the game will have improved AI teammates who will have more creative runs into space, with more “winding” between the opposing lines, and will be more careful in avoiding the backfield
- in the PC, PS5, XS and NS2 versions of the game we will have the possibility to keep control of the ball even when the footballers are under foul
