Electronic Arts have finally, after a salvo of leaked information, officially unveiled a new release in its popular shooter series, titled Battlefield 2042, rather than Battlefield 6 as originally expected.
Battlefield 2024 is going back to its roots. This is the first thing that can be noticed based on the presentation. Warfare in the near future was a regular theme until Battlefield 4, and then with BF 1 and BFV, a change was made by going to the periods of World Wars.
Netflix has hired a former CEO of Oculus and EA to lead its gaming development efforts.

According to Bloomberg, the company has hired Mike Verdu, former CEO of Oculus and EA, as vice president of game development. Verdu was vice president of augmented and virtual reality games and content on Facebook, where he worked with developers for Oculus Rift, Quest, and Go. From 2017 to 2018, he was also the head of EA Mobile and oversaw studies, among others, at Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, SimCity BuildIt, Plants vs. Zombies, and Sims Free Play.
Ubisoft has already stated that it plans to dedicate itself to a different type of game in the coming years, and those changes will include the most popular franchise that the French publisher owns. The latest game will be a live-service online game, which means that it will change over time and get new content according to a regular schedule.
Tom Henderson is the famous Battlefield and Call of Duty “liqueur”, and last week he released a video in which he talked in detail about the rumors and predictions related to Grand Theft Auto 6.
Henderson believes the game will feature a portion of Vice City, and that the map will change over time just as Epic Games often likes to make up Fortnite.
