The 2023 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance has a hybrid drive and accelerates to 100 km / h in 2.9 s.
Just when we thought that the Mercedes-AMG with the GT 63 S model had reached the “ceiling”, the German car manufacturer prepared a new surprise for us.

The new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance 2023 enters the scene with a “plug-in” hybrid drivetrain that still has a 4.0 bi-turbo V8 at its heart, but which is helped by an electric motor on the rear axle.

Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance Engine
This engine is integrated with a two-speed transmission and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, and the total power of the drive system is as much as 843 hp (620 kW), while the maximum torque is a full 1,400 Nm!
This makes the 2023 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance the most powerful AMG production model in history, with the exception of the hyper sport Project One with F1 technology.
The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds, while the top speed is 316 km / h.
According to the factory data, thanks to the hybrid drive, the average consumption is only 8.7 l / 100 km.
Although, when he is interested in how much a car of almost 850 horsepower consumes, the price of which is expressed in euros by a six-digit number.

Battery Range Specs
The German car manufacturer did not reveal the specifications of the 2023 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance electric motor but stated that it is powered by a battery with a capacity of 6.1 kWh, which weighs about 90 kg.
The car also has a built-in 3.7 kW charger, which is there to help charge the battery faster via cable.
Although it is a “plug-in” hybrid, due to the small battery, one should not count on great autonomy in driving on electricity – in purely electric mode, the GT 63 E Performance can cover only twelve km.
One of the interesting features of the battery is the fact that it uses a coolant that individually cools all 560 cells. Approximately 14 liters of coolant constantly flows through the battery to maintain an optimum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius, no matter how often it is charged or discharged.

Although Mercedes owes us information about the price of its new 2023 Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance Hybrid, it is expected that it will approach the cost of $200,000 , and with additional options, it will certainly exceed it.
