Ubisoft has enigmatically announced that it plans to update three older Far Cry games to run at 60 frames per second on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.

Ubisoft isn’t done unlocking framerates for its legacy games on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.
Subsequently, three Far Cry games were already rendered in 60 fps on current consoles: Far Cry 4, Far Cry 5 and Far Cry: New Dawn. In the near future, three more games of that series will receive a similar treatment: Far Cry 3, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon te Far Cry Primal.
Given that Far Cry 3 is a PS3 and X360 generation game, it’s pretty impressive that Ubisoft is even bothering to raise the framerate for a 13-year-old game. They recently did a similar thing for 2016’s The Division, and before that for 2015’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
