After releasing the One UI 8.5 update based on Android 16 to a number of devices in May, Samsung began active work on the development of new software One UI 9which is based on Android 17.
This latest operating system is widely tested on a large number of phones and tablets around the world, with which the South Korean giant is rapidly preparing for the official premiere.
List of devices currently testing One UI 9
Here’s a detailed overview of all the Galaxy models included in the new wave of internal testing, sorted by series for easy viewing:
Galaxy A series
- Samsung Galaxy A26: The software version under the label is being tested A266MUBU9DZF1
- Samsung Galaxy A36: Testing is done on the European market with the software version A366BXXUADZG1
- Samsung Galaxy A37: Software version A376BXXU3BZG1 is currently being tested for the Indian market
- Samsung Galaxy A15 4G: An active test version has been spotted under the label A155FXXUAFZG1.
Galaxy Z Series (Flexible Phones)
- Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 i Z Flip7 FE: New models on which internal software development has started before the official premiere
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 i From Flip6: Testing of the new system is underway for the India and Europe regions
- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 i From Flip5: Older bendable models are also undergoing software tests in Europe and India.
Galaxy M and F series
- Samsung Galaxy M56, M35 i M34: Early software development and testing is done exclusively in the Indian market
- Samsung Galaxy M15: Tests are conducted in parallel for users in India and Europe
- Samsung Galaxy F34: Work on the new system has started in the Indian market.
Galaxy S series and Tablets
- Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: Access to the new software is currently being tested for the India region.
- Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro: A durable tablet is also listed, and a test version has been spotted X356BXXU8DZG1.
The current status of the beta program and the expected premiere date
The official public One UI 9 beta program is currently open exclusively to premium models from Galaxy S26 series, which have already received three consecutive beta updates so far. The exact release dates of the final stable versions for the other listed devices have not yet been officially confirmed.
Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones (Galaxy Z 8 series) will be the first devices to ship with One UI 9 software pre-installed.
According to unofficial informationthese bendable models will be officially unveiled at a major event on July 22nd in London.
