The recently announced game PickMon won’t be called that, though. The official explanation is: the developers came up with a better name. Unofficial: Nintendo’s lawyers are shaking their pants off.
When a month ago a game called PickMonthe audience reaction was not very great.
Many have called PickMon developers unimaginative and stealing ideas from Pokemon and Palworld. Not only that – they are accused of being stole the design of fictitious pokemon from drawings credited to fans of the Pokemon franchise.
The developers reacted to this by deciding to change the name of the game. Instead of PickMon, the game will be called Pickmos.
You see, it makes a lot more sense because -mos stands for complete ecosystem, that is, large the cosmos. The developers say that Pickmos sounds more powerful and invent some more silly excuses to justify their move.
Basically, the whole thing stinks of another scam in the style of The Day Before, Abandoned and similar games.
