The best gaming processor gets a new generation! The AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D is slightly more expensive than the 9800X3D

As CES 2026 approaches, information about the new AMD gaming processor Ryzen 7 9850X3D is becoming more frequent. The latest detail comes from the American retail chain NEBuMAX, which prematurely announced the price of $511.44, which is noticeably lower than the previously mentioned amount of $553.

Compared to the price of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D model of $479, the new processor is about $30 more expensive, which the industry considers realistic given the expected increase in performance.

The new Ryzen 7 9850X3D arrives with higher frequencies and benefits from a larger cache memory

The Ryzen 7 9850X3D retains the 8C/16T core configuration, AM5 socket and base clock of 4.7 GHz, while the biggest improvement comes through the turbo frequency which rises to 5.6 GHz, which is an increase of 400 MHz. The characteristic 3D V-Cache technology with 96 MB of L3 cache and a total of 104 MB of combined cache, as well as integrated graphics based on the RDNA 2 architecture, has been retained.

AMD should officially introduce the Ryzen 7 9850X3D at CES 2026, where they will confirm all the specifications and announce the final retail price.
