Ahead of us is a rich and varied year for the genre of driving games, marked by the return of popular series and the arrival of several new names.

You already know that there are several categories of driving games in gaming. We have simulation driving, arcade racing, delivery games… However, for the purposes of announcing the upcoming games in 2026, we have put all these forms of driving under one umbrella – including the driving of aircraft. Regardless of what you drive or how fast, we believe that in 2026 you will find the right ride for you. Here’s what’s in sight:
Forza Horizon 6
| 2026. | PC, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 |
Forza Horizon has grown from a side series into the main and only Forza, and the sixth part brings what fans of arcade driving have been waiting for a long time – racing on Japanese roads. We can’t wait to see what the first Forza Horizon made exclusively for the current generation of Xbox hardware will bring. We only know that it promises us the biggest city yet, as well as the return of time periods from the four. Here, we can already smell the Japanese cherries in bloom… And in the distance we can hear some cars.
Screamer
| 26. 03. 2026. | PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series |
While in the new Forza we will be drifting and filling the garage with new vehicles, in Screamer driving will have a completely different focus. We will participate in illegal street races, with fictitious chasers and supernatural accelerations. In addition, Screamer will have a fairly substantial story, presented in the style of an anime series. It all works like an adrenaline bomb, but the quality has yet to be proven, although this is an existing series – which we last drove back in 1996.
Carmageddon: Rogue Shift
| 2026. | PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2 |
Speaking of old series that announce their return, here is the new Carmageddon. It has tons of zombies to stomp on, rampaging cars with guns racing through post-apocalyptic 2050 environments. It even promises police chases, dynamic changes in weather conditions and time of day, a detailed model of vehicle damage… Maybe this time it won’t be a total wreck like the last two attempts to return. If anything, it seems like an interesting roguelike approach where we’ll have to strategically drive from garage to garage, with the ultimate goal of escaping outside the city, into the mountains.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer
| 2026. | PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series |
Veterans of the BurnOut and Need for Speed franchises are ready for an adrenaline rush in a galaxy far, far away. After a long time comes a new racing game in the Star Wars universe. And we don’t just mean podracing. In Galactic Racer, we’ll use various hovercraft and speeders and compete in the syndicate-sponsored Galactic League. The game will have several different modes, starting with the main story mode, where we will play as the lone pilot Shade. It will offer racing in various locations, bumping and crashing, and among the drivers will be the legendary Sebulba from the movie The Phantom Menace.
RIDE 6
| 12. 02. 2026. | PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series |
The sixth part of the well-known motorcycle series RIDe will bring 340 motorcycles divided into seven categories. We will drive all this on a total of 45 tracks around the world, and one of the biggest innovations will be the inclusion of offroad races. The career mode will take over the festival format and we will choose the path of the competition ourselves, with the ultimate goal of challenging 10 legendary motorcycling champions. All this will be accompanied by a new game outfit, first performed in Unreal Engine 5.
Road Kings
| 2026. | PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series |
As for the driving simulation part, this year we should sit in an American tow truck game called Road Kings. This competitor to American Truck Simulator brings us driving with changing weather conditions. The storm will chase us across the border region between Florida and Georgia, and there will be no escaping the police, who will have their own methods of charging traffic violations.
Bus Bound
| 2026. | PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series |
The developers of the Bus Simulator series are preparing a new plot on the bus theme. In Bus Bound, we become a driver in the American city of Emberville. That place has a problem with heavy traffic because people don’t use public transport, and that’s why we’re here to change things for the better with good driving and reliable service. The game will allow us to drive authentic buses of American manufacturers, and we will be able to drive them independently or together with three other players.
Over the Hill
Over the Hill is a game similar to Expeditions or Mudrunner, only with retro graphics and vehicles from the 80s of the last century. Our goal will be to conquer mountain peaks on four wheels, which includes overcoming inaccessible terrain and fighting against meteorological conditions, either alone or in the company of other players. The game will have a simulation of soil deformation and will rely on the physics of the vehicles themselves, but it is not intended as a hardcore simulation, but as a relaxing trip through nature, during which you can get out from behind the car and set up your camp.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve
| 2026. | PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series |
Ace Combat 8 is not a wheeled game, but technically speaking, in it we control a vehicle – more precisely, a spacecraft. This arcade flight will follow the conflict between the Federation of Central America and the mysterious group Shadows. The main role will be played by Rex, a weapons officer who succeeds the legendary pilot Jan Rexco after he is killed in a mission. Ace Combat 8 will bring tense aerial battles, but a good part of the story will also take place on the carrier FCE Endurance, where we will meet face to face the crew we are fighting for.
