Warner Bros. movie studio has announced that it is working on a remake of the cult film “The Bodyguard” with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner.
Playwright Matthew Lopez is in charge of writing the new version.
Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote and directed the original film, and Dan Lin and Jonathan Ericich are directing the new movie.
The title of executive producer went to Nick Reynolds, and although potential actors have been considered for a long time, no names have been released yet.

“I have a lot to say in the veil with the remake of the movie, but the most important thing is that I want you to leave the original movie alone,” wrote one of the movie’s fans.
“No one asked for this. Whitney Houston is irreplaceable,” criticized another.
