The Witcher Season 2 Geralt of Rivia on the set

The Witcher Season 2 Release Date, Cast

The Witcher is an adaptation of novels and short stories by Polish author Andrzej Zapkowski, according to which several hit games were made, and “Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt” is ranked by many not only in the genre itself but also in video games in general.

It has now been announced on the official Twitter account of that series that the filming of the second season has been completed with a photo of Henry Cavill playing the main character, Geralt of Rivia. Filming began in early February 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic had a major impact on production. Cavill’s injury in November last year did not help either, which further delayed filming.

The Witcher Season 2 Plot

“People, dwarves and elves have been living in tense harmony and peace for more than a century. But times change and races come into conflict again. In these turbulent times, Ciri is born, a child whose existence is recorded in a prophecy called Suddenness, and who possesses extraordinary power to change the world, for the better or for the worse.

Geralt of Rivia, a cunning killer of monsters, known as the White Wolf, is in charge of protecting Ciri and takes her on a journey to ward her off from warfare and the numerous enemies that haunt her.

It soon becomes clear that Ciri is not like the others. Instead of undergoing a process of mutation, which would endow her with supernatural abilities, but also deprive her of human sensibilities, Ciri harnesses her unique power to the service of those who are not on the side of evil.

As war increasingly proves to be inevitable, Ciri and Geralt discover that they are accompanied by someone who accurately understands the meaning of the prophecy and knows what Ciri’s powers can do.

Wanting to protect himself and his friends, Geralt tries to remain neutral in a crazy world, even though almost everyone repeats that it is impossible.
