Sony and Honda have decided to abandon the development of the Afeela 1 electric car that was supposed to be connected to the PlayStation.
Sony announced today that they are canceling the development of their first electric car.
The so-called Aphela 1the car that Sony in collaboration with Honda has been announcing since 2022, will not be produced in the end.
Sony says that this decision was made due to a change of plans on Honda’s part. Honda seems to be moving away from making electric cars, so Sony can no longer count on the technologies that Honda was supposed to supply for the Afeela 1.
Normally, we don’t have the habit of writing about cars on the gaming portal, but Afeela 1 was from the very beginning car related to gaming. Sony “brought” it to the stage of the CES fair using the DualSense controller, inserted it into Gran Turismo 7, announced support for Remote Play and announced Epic Games and their Fortnite as a partner for that car…
In vain, everything.
