They’re raising the price of Xbox Series consoles again – because why not?

Microsoft announced that they are once again raising the prices of Xbox Series S and X consoles on the American market, this time by $100-150.

Sony and Nintendo have already raised the prices of their consoles for this year, and now Microsoft has also “bragged” about a new price increase for the Xbox. We no longer remember in any order within this generation of consoles.

From August 1 of this year Xbox Series consoles are getting more expensive around the world. The price increase amounts to $100 for 512GB console modelswhile models with a one terabyte disk will increase in price by 150 dollars. The 2TB Xbox Series X model will no longer be sold.

Currently, on our market, the Xbox Series X console with 1TB is sold in price ranges from 735 euros to 860 euros. After the new price increase, it will probably be more expensive than the PlayStation 5 Pro console, which costs €900, which is crazy.

Microsoft is also aware that this is an insane situation, but they shrug their shoulders and say that the purchase price of memory has jumped by 2.5 times and that they expect it to be up to five times more expensive by the end of 2027.

Therefore, this is probably not the last increase in the price of Xbox. Next time we will definitely go over a thousand euros!

All of this would be sad if it weren’t funny, or it would be funny if it weren’t sad – whichever way you look at it. Microsoft is one of the companies responsible for the global memory shortage, so their whining about the purchase price of Xbox memory sounds hilarious when until recently they were trying to push an AI assistant that no one asked for.

But they are also aware of how crazy the situation is, so they offer to buy Xbox in installments, up to 12 months without interest (wonderful), buy used Xbox consoles in stores, and save $100 on the purchase of repaired Xbox consoles (well done).
