Ubisoft confirmed: two Far Cry games are in development

In addition to the adaptation of Far Cry into a television series, we should see two new Far Cry games in the future, confirmed the head of Ubisoft.

The Far Cry series was last active four years ago, but Ubisoft says they haven’t forgotten it. Ubisoft’s head Yves Guillemot in an interview with Variety confirmed that they are currently in development “two promising Far Cry games“.

According to unofficial information, one of those projects is a classic Far Cry game in an open world, but with a specific plot – players will reportedly have limited time (72 hours) to finish it, at least as far as the main story of rescuing a kidnapped family is concerned.

The second Far Cry project is reportedly separate multiplayer game. Traditionally, this series is known for its single-player / co-op format, but Ubisoft would very much like to have another active multiplayer shooter with Rainbow Six Siege.

As already announced, Far Cry will get its own in the future in addition to new games feature series on Netflix. The series will be an anthology format, with different stories each season, provided there is more than one.
