After all the speculation as to who will have the honor of making a new game under the FIFA license, we could not have predicted the outcome of the situation even in our wildest thoughts. The license went to Netflix.

On the occasion of the World Cup in 2026, we will get the official soccer game of that event. We just won’t play it on PC and consoles – but on mobile phones. Because the exclusive rights to the game called FIFA 2026 they belonged Netflix.
The game is billed as a soccer simulation in a quick-to-learn format that is designed to be accessible to everyone. There will be options for playing independently and playing in a company (online).
The team will be in charge of the game Delphi Interactive who are currently collaborating on the 007 game First Light, but otherwise have no previous games they’ve worked on.
From Netflix I say:
“As longtime fans of the FIFA series, we are honored to deliver the next generation and future of the franchise. Our mission is simple: make FIFA the most entertaining and accessible soccer game in the world.”
The new FIFA will be ready before the summer of 2026, that is, before the start of the world football championship in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
