Square Enix has announced a new Final Fantasy game with a retro aesthetic, based on the story of the mobile title FF Brave Exvius.
This year we will have not one, but two Resonance games. With Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy comes our way Final Fantasy Resonance.
It will be a brand new Final Fantasy game, the first to use retro inspired visual style HD-2D. Square Enix has used this style so far on series such as Octopath Traveler, Dragon Quest and others.
More precisely, the game will be new, but not its story. Resonance will be based on the story of the mobile title FF Brave Exvius. In it we will see the return of some famous FF characters such as Cloud, Tidus and others.
Final Fantasy Resonance is essentially a turn-based combat game, closer to the older 90s FF titles than the more recent ones. It will cost €50and will be playable on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms from 10/22 of this year.
